DT3: Hunter Valley Wine Tasting

Sydney Blue Mountains day tours

The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest commercial wine producing area, now enjoying an international reputation as producing some of the world’s best wine. With over 100 wineries, it attracts a large number of local & international visitors.

Our groups have a maximum of 10 people, to give you more time at each location, and a more personalised service. (Larger groups can also be accommodated-please request further details).
When leaving the city we will head north over one of our main icons, the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, taking us into the beautiful Northern Suburbs and the National Highway to the Hunter Valley.
We will cross the impressive Hawkesbury River, a region the aboriginal people inhabited for thousands of years.
At the Hunter Valley you will find numerous varieties of wineries, from family owned small boutique wineries, to large internationally renowned ones, each with their unique wine making style. We have hand-picked four wineries, each with its own character, history and background.
The day includes a step by step inspection, to learn about the wine making process (1 winery), and tasting the original wines at each winery. You will have a chance to taste some Red, White, Sparkling, Botrytis, and some rare varieties of wines and homemade local products.
Visit shops with their own local produce specialities to do some tasting, of cheese, olives, chocolates, etc.
Have a lunch break at the Hunter Valley Gardens Village (Lunch is at own expense). There are various restaurants to choose from, and it is a great place to relax and browse through their colourful boutiques & specialty shops. If you have a sweet tooth, why not visit the chocolate company or the lolly shop.

This is a perfect day for you to test your taste buds, trying out different products to find your favourite one. They are all there for you to sample and purchase.
